Design and Build
The HONOR X9e Pro measures 162.2mm in height, 77mm in width and 8.08mm in thickness. Despite its 11,000mAh battery, the phone weighs approximately 203g, keeping it relatively manageable for a device with such a large power reserve.
Durability is another major selling point. The handset carries IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, covering different levels of dust and water resistance under specified test conditions. HONOR also advertises drop resistance of up to three metres and an SGS Premium Performance five-star certification for drop resistance in harsh scenarios.
These ratings do not make the device indestructible. Water resistance can also deteriorate with wear, and users should follow the manufacturer’s care instructions.
Display
The phone features a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,788 × 1,280 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. HONOR lists typical brightness of 800 nits, high-brightness mode of 2,000 nits and peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits.
The high refresh rate supports smoother scrolling and animations, while AMOLED technology delivers strong contrast for video playback and dark scenes. The display also supports 3,840Hz PWM dimming and several eye-comfort features.
The 10,000-nit figure refers to peak brightness under specific HDR conditions, rather than sustained full-screen brightness. It should therefore not be treated as a direct measure of everyday outdoor visibility.
Performance and Software
The HONOR X9e Pro uses the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, a 4nm octa-core processor with CPU frequencies of up to 2.6GHz and an Adreno 812 GPU. It is designed for everyday multitasking, navigation, streaming and mainstream gaming rather than flagship-level processing workloads.
The UAE configurations include 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Actual gaming performance will depend on software optimisation and graphics settings; independent benchmark testing is needed to establish how it compares with similarly priced devices.
The phone runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. HONOR lists AI-powered display and camera features, including AI Defocus Display and AI Circadian Night Display. A specific long-term Android update commitment was not confirmed in the sources reviewed for this article.
Camera
The rear camera system consists of a 108MP main camera with an f/1.75 aperture and OIS, paired with a 5MP secondary camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The front camera has a 16MP sensor.
OIS helps compensate for small movements while taking photos and recording video. The high-resolution primary sensor can capture detailed images in suitable conditions, although megapixel count alone does not establish camera quality.
The phone supports 4K video recording through its rear camera, according to the published specifications. Its secondary camera has a lower resolution than the main sensor, so buyers should not expect equivalent detail from both cameras. Independent testing is still needed to assess low-light photography, dynamic range and video stabilisation.
Battery and Charging
The 11,000mAh battery is the phone’s main differentiator. HONOR advertises up to 164 hours of continuous music playback and a six-year battery durability design. These are manufacturer claims based on specific conditions, not guarantees of everyday battery life or six years of unchanged capacity.
The phone supports 80W wired HONOR SuperCharge and up to 27W wired reverse charging, allowing it to supply power to compatible devices. The large battery should appeal to travellers, heavy users and people who frequently work away from a charger, although charging times will depend on temperature, battery level and the charger used.
Connectivity and Special Features
Connectivity includes 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS and a USB Type-C port. The handset also supports dual nano-SIM cards and stereo speakers.
Its combination of extensive water-resistance ratings and a large battery makes it suitable for buyers who want a phone built around endurance rather than slimness or flagship gaming performance.
Price and Availability
The HONOR X9e Pro is available in the UAE in the following configurations, according to launch coverage and retailer listings.
- 8GB + 256GB – AED 1,499 (Approx.Rs.38,750)
- 12GB + 256GB – AED 1,799 (~Rs.46,510)
The phone is offered in Deep Purple, Midnight Black, Dawn Gold and Reddish Brown, although colour availability may vary by retailer. It is listed through the official HONOR UAE store and participating retailers.
The UAE launch campaign includes promotional benefits and gifts, subject to eligibility and availability. Buyers should check the official store for the current package and final price.
The phone previously launched in Malaysia, where the reported configurations included 8GB RAM with 256GB or 512GB storage. UAE buyers should not assume that every international configuration is available locally.
HONOR has not confirmed an Indian launch or official Indian pricing in the information verified for this article.
Competition and Alternatives
| Alternative | Why Consider It? | Why Choose the HONOR X9e Pro Instead? |
|---|---|---|
| HONOR X9d | A related model with a focus on durability and battery life | The newer model’s 11,000mAh battery and updated chipset |
| Other mid-range 5G phones | Some alternatives may prioritise camera versatility, software support or processing performance | The X9e Pro’s unusually large battery and extensive protection ratings |
Buyers should compare current UAE prices, battery capacities and warranty terms before choosing between these options. The X9e Pro’s advantage is its battery and durability combination, rather than an established lead in processing or camera performance.

Final Verdict: Should You Buy the HONOR X9e Pro?
The HONOR X9e Pro makes the most sense for buyers who put battery endurance and durability ahead of flagship performance. Its 11,000mAh battery, 80W charging and extensive protection ratings give it a distinctive position in the mid-range market.
However, buyers who prioritise gaming performance, camera versatility or a lighter phone should compare alternatives before purchasing. Its large battery is a meaningful advantage, but the overall value also depends on the local selling price and HONOR’s software-support commitment.
Best for: Travellers, heavy phone users and buyers who want long battery life with enhanced dust and water resistance.
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise flagship-level performance, a more versatile camera system or a lighter design.
Bottom line: The HONOR X9e Pro stands out primarily for endurance and durability. Its battery is the main reason to consider it, while independent testing and clearer software-update commitments would help establish its overall value.
