Apple has launched the new AirPods 5, bringing a substantial upgrade to its open-ear wireless earbud lineup. The biggest change is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which is now available on both AirPods 5 variants rather than being limited to a higher-end configuration.

Design & Build
The AirPods 5 retain Apple’s familiar open-ear approach rather than adopting the sealed in-ear design used by AirPods Pro. That distinction is important: users who dislike silicone ear tips still get an ANC-enabled option.
