Vivo has quietly added the Vivo S60t to its China lineup, expanding the S60 family with a model that retains much of the standard S60‘s hardware while switching to a lower-tier Snapdragon platform.

The S60t’s key hardware combination includes a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen, a 7,200mAh battery with 90W charging and a triple-camera system led by a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. The phone is also listed with Android 17-based OriginOS 7.

The Vivo S60t is an upper-midrange smartphone focused on combining a large 7,200mAh battery, high-refresh-rate AMOLED display and versatile camera hardware, while using the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 instead of the more powerful chip found in the standard S60.

Vivo has not confirmed an India launch for the S60t. The company is instead bringing the Vivo V80 to India on October 6.

Design & Build

The Vivo S60t measures 157.52mm in height and 74.33mm in width, with thickness varying between 7.79mm and 7.92mm depending on the colour. Weight ranges from around 205g to 207g.

The phone uses a glass back with an aluminium-alloy middle frame and comes in Midsummer Night, Starry Sea and Early Summer Green.

Despite carrying a 7,200mAh battery, the S60t remains under 8mm thick in two of its colour variants. That is one of the more interesting aspects of the hardware, although the battery still contributes to a weight of around 205–207 grams.

Vivo also lists IP68 and IP69 protection, making water and dust resistance a significant advantage for users who want a more durable upper-midrange phone.

Display

The S60t features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 2750 × 1260-pixel resolution, giving it a 1.5K-class panel with a 459ppi density.

The screen supports refresh rates up to 144Hz, alongside HDR, P3 wide colour gamut and 1.07 billion colours. Vivo also lists a 300Hz touch sampling rate for supported gaming scenarios.

The high refresh rate should benefit scrolling and compatible games, while the AMOLED panel provides the contrast advantages associated with self-emissive displays.

Vivo also lists very high local peak brightness figures for the panel. These figures are typically measured under specific conditions, so they should not be interpreted as the screen maintaining its maximum brightness across the entire display during normal use.

Performance

The Vivo S60t is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, an octa-core 4nm platform with a peak CPU clock speed of 2.8GHz and an Adreno 722 GPU.

The phone comes with 12GB of physical RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Vivo also supports Memory Fusion, which can allocate additional storage as virtual memory.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 places the S60t below the standard S60 in raw chipset positioning. Vivo’s regular S60 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, while the S60t retains many of the same display, battery and camera characteristics.

That makes the S60t more about balancing performance with battery life and camera hardware rather than matching the standard S60’s performance ceiling.

There are no independent benchmark or gaming results available here, so real-world performance should not be inferred from claimed benchmark figures alone.

Camera

The camera system is one of the S60t’s strongest specifications.

It has a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700V main camera with OIS and autofocus, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with OIS. The telephoto camera supports up to 3x optical or lossless zoom according to third-party specification listings, while digital zoom can reach up to 100x.

The inclusion of a dedicated periscope camera is more significant than the raw megapixel count. It gives the phone dedicated hardware for distant subjects instead of relying entirely on digital cropping from the main sensor.

The phone can record up to 4K video using the front camera, main camera and periscope camera, while the ultrawide camera supports up to 1080p recording. Vivo also highlights 4K Live functionality and stabilisation-focused video features.

For selfies and video calls, there is a 50MP autofocus front camera.

Battery & Charging

Battery life is another major focus of the Vivo S60t.

The phone carries a 7,200mAh typical-capacity battery, with a rated capacity of 7,015mAh. It supports 90W wired FlashCharge and wired reverse charging through USB Type-C.

The capacity is considerably larger than what is common in many conventional upper-midrange phones. Combined with the AMOLED display and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform, it gives the S60t a strong hardware foundation for users who spend significant time watching video, gaming or using mobile data.

However, actual battery life will depend on brightness, network conditions, applications and usage patterns. Vivo’s claimed endurance figures should therefore be treated as manufacturer testing rather than independent battery testing.

Wireless charging is not supported.

Software & AI

The Vivo S60t runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17 according to the current launch information.

Vivo’s software includes its Jovi assistant and a range of camera-focused AI functions, including AI-generated content tools and computational photography features.

Because the phone is a China-market model, software features and services may differ from those available on Vivo phones sold internationally. There is also no confirmed India version of the S60t at the time of writing.

Connectivity & Special Features

The S60t supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS and USB Type-C connectivity. It uses dual Nano-SIM support and includes an infrared remote-control sensor.

Other notable hardware includes:

  • 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor
  • Stereo speakers
  • X-axis linear motor
  • NFC
  • USB OTG
  • IP68/IP69 protection
  • Reverse charging

There is no 3.5mm headphone jack; wired audio uses USB Type-C.

Vivo S60t Price & Availability

vivo s60t china listing

The Vivo S60t is currently available in China in two configurations:

  • 12GB + 256GB – CNY 3,599 (Approx. Rs.51,700)
  • 12GB + 512GB – CNY 3,999 (~Rs.57,450)

The phone is available in Midsummer Night, Starry Sea and Early Summer Green.

Vivo has not announced international availability for the S60t.

Competition & Alternatives

The most obvious alternative is Vivo’s own S60, because it starts at the same CNY 3,599 price in China for the 12GB + 256GB configuration but uses the more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.

Alternative Why Consider It? Why Choose the S60t Instead?
Vivo S60 Faster Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Lower-tier chipset still paired with the same 7,200mAh battery class and 50MP periscope setup
Vivo S60 Vitality Edition Lower starting price S60t offers Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and a dedicated 50MP periscope camera
Xiaomi 17 Stronger flagship-class performance S60t offers a much larger 7,200mAh battery

The standard S60 is the toughest competitor because its China starting price is effectively the same. Unless the S60t receives discounts or has a meaningful advantage in availability, buyers prioritising performance have a strong reason to choose the standard S60 instead.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • 7,200mAh battery, 90W wired charging
  • 50MP periscope telephoto camera
  • 144Hz 1.5K AMOLED display
  • Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset
  • IP68/IP69 protection
  • Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor

Cons

  • Standard S60 offers a more powerful chipset at the same China starting price
  • No wireless charging
  • No 3.5mm headphone jack

Final Verdict: Should You Buy It?

The Vivo S60t is an interesting upper-midrange phone because it combines several features that are usually spread across different price segments: a 7,200mAh battery, 90W charging, 144Hz AMOLED display and dedicated 50MP periscope camera.

Its biggest problem is the standard Vivo S60. At CNY 3,599, the S60 starts at the same price as the S60t while using the more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. That makes the S60t difficult to recommend purely on value unless its lower-tier chipset translates into a meaningful price difference through discounts.

The S60t makes more sense for buyers who prioritise battery capacity and camera versatility and do not need flagship-level processing power.

Best for: Battery-focused users, mobile photographers and buyers who want a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display with a dedicated periscope camera.

Consider alternatives if: You want maximum performance for the money or need an officially supported India model.

Bottom line: The Vivo S60t is a well-equipped China-market upper-midrange phone, but its biggest challenge is its own sibling. Until Vivo confirms wider availability or the S60t receives a meaningful discount, the standard S60 remains the more compelling choice for performance-focused buyers.
