Honor has launched the Watch 6 Pro in China alongside the Magic 9 smartphone series, positioning the smartwatch around advanced heart, blood-pressure and health monitoring rather than maximum battery endurance. The new model combines a 1.5-inch dual-layer OLED display with continuous HRV tracking, Blood Pressure 2.0 and new cardiac-arrest monitoring features.
The Watch 6 Pro is currently a China launch, with no official international or India availability announced yet. Its main focus is health and safety, while dual-frequency GPS, dedicated sports modes and a durable stainless-steel or ceramic construction broaden its appeal beyond health tracking.
The Honor Watch 6 Pro is primarily a health-focused smartwatch that trades the extreme battery endurance of Honor’s standard Watch 6 models for more advanced heart, blood-pressure and safety features.

Design & Build
The Honor Watch 6 Pro uses a 46.3mm round case measuring 11.6mm thick. The stainless-steel versions use 316L stainless steel for the bezel and front shell, while the ceramic editions use nanocrystalline ceramic around the bezel. The rear shell is made from polymer-fibre composite material.
The ceramic variants receive additional attention to durability. Honor says the ceramic is sintered onto the metal at around 1,400°C, rather than simply using a painted finish. Available versions include Stainless Steel Black, Stainless Steel Yellow, Ceramic Black, Ceramic Brown and Ceramic Silver.
At around 51g without the strap, the Watch 6 Pro is substantial but not unusually heavy for a 46mm-class smartwatch.
The watch is rated for 5ATM water resistance as well as IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection. Honor says it can be used for shallow-water activities such as swimming, but it is not intended for diving, scuba diving, hot showers or saunas.
Display
One of the Watch 6 Pro’s biggest hardware changes is its 1.5-inch dual-layer OLED display. The panel has a 466 × 466 resolution and 310 PPI, with Honor claiming up to 4,500 nits of global peak brightness and up to 5,500 nits when only a smaller area of the screen is illuminated.
That brightness figure is particularly relevant for outdoor use. A high peak brightness can make watch faces, workout information and navigation easier to read under strong sunlight, although peak figures should not be confused with sustained full-screen brightness.
The dual-layer OLED architecture is also one of the watch’s defining hardware features and gives Honor a way to push brightness without relying solely on a conventional OLED layer.
Health & Performance
Health monitoring is the main reason to consider the Pro model.
The Watch 6 Pro provides 24/7 heart-rate variability monitoring and introduces Honor’s Blood Pressure 2.0 system. It also includes ECG, heart-rate and pulse-related monitoring through its multi-sensor setup.
Another major addition is cardiac-arrest monitoring. Honor says the watch can identify a severe loss of pulse and trigger an emergency response, including an alarm and emergency-contact features. The company presented this as a major health-safety capability of the new model.
These features should be viewed as wearable health-monitoring and alert tools rather than replacements for medical equipment. Honor has not positioned the watch as a substitute for clinical diagnosis.
The watch also supports a CGM Blood Sugar Control Assistant. Importantly, this should not be interpreted as the watch containing an independent non-invasive glucose meter. Available information indicates that the function is designed to work with continuous glucose-monitoring systems, allowing compatible glucose data to be viewed and used for health-management purposes.
Sports & Positioning
Honor’s Polaris positioning system uses dual-frequency L1+L5 reception and a three-antenna design. It supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS, with Honor claiming up to 21 hours of continuous positioning.
Sports features include dedicated Trail Running, Professional Badminton and Professional Football modes, alongside AI coaching and motion-analysis functions.
The watch can also respond to wet-finger input, which is useful when using the display around water.
Battery & Charging
The Watch 6 Pro has a 500mAh battery, but its endurance depends heavily on which features are enabled.
Honor rates it for up to 18 days in its long-battery Bluetooth mode. Normal usage is rated at up to 10 days, while enabling Always-On Display reduces the quoted figure to up to seven days. With the full health-monitoring mode active, battery life can fall to around four days.
This is an important trade-off. The standard Watch 6 and Watch 6 Plus focus much more heavily on long endurance, while the Pro allocates more power to continuous health and safety monitoring.
Software, Connectivity & Special Features
The Watch 6 Pro supports Android 9.0 and newer, iOS 15.1 and newer, and HarmonyOS 6.0 and newer. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and the Honor Polaris positioning system. It also has a speaker, microphone and magnetic charging connection.
The sensor package includes PPG and ECG heart sensors, an accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, ambient-light sensor and barometric-pressure sensor.
